Life goes on .....
It's now a week since Kaktus started to show signs that she would soon give birth to her kittens.
What if it was possible to turn back the clock, and to go to the clinic and ask for a caesarean section before the placenta came off.....
Thank you, thank you, thank you .... all those who have written and called to us, it's wonderful to hear and read all your sweet words - it has warmed and it means a huge amount ♥
It was really hard to wait for Fabias kittens, fearing that something would happen to her too, and all the memories from when we were waiting for Kaktus kittens - it was difficult to feel the the nice expectations, it was to much worries. But when Fabias first kitten was born on Tuesday morning, it was a huge relief. She gave birth to her four kittens in 1 ½ hour and everything went well. All four are doing fine, First I thought it was two males and two females, but it looks like there are three females and one male. I have not interfered Fabia so much the first few days, so the first pictures I took when they were 2 days old.

Fabia gave birth to her kittens on Tuesday morning, on day 65, she had four kittens, two males and two females. Fabia and the kittens are doing well. Pictures and more information coming few days.
Any day now .....
we expect Kassis kittens any day now, I think they will be born on Sunday or Monday,
Kassisare doing fine, her belly isn't very big, I guess that she carries three kittens.

And we are counting the days until we'll see her kittens :-). It took some time before her first heat, we were afraid that she had very silent heat and that we had missed it. But when she finally were in heat -we knew ;-) and she fell in love with Cicero directly ;-)

6 weeks old and so charming and lovely as anyone could wish for - beautiful heads, strong bone-structure, great expression, excellent coat-qualities and ..... very beautiful ears. That is what I hoped that kittens after Vanilj & Nypon ♥ ♥ should get and they did.
It's really exciting to follow the development of kittens who is a part of several of the cats that we live together with. New pictures here
Satisfied mothers ....
It was like a circus here, at home, the day after Vallmo had her kittens .... Vallmo and Vanilj thought it was very strange that there were kittens in two nestboxes, they jumped between the boxes like dizzy hens. As soon as a kitten beeped in one box - both of the mothers jumped into the box, but then another kitten, in the second box, started to beep, and both mothers jumped back...... We did not want to have both mothers and all the kittens in one box, it would be too crowded, so we put the nestboxes facing towards each other - what a success! Vanilj and Vallmo came to rest, and they seems to be satisfied to take care of all kittens together with eachother. The kittens seems to have a good feeling for who they belong to - mostly they stay with their own mother.

On day 65 Vanilj gave birth to five big, beautiful kittens :-) All five were born within two hours, Vanilj was a super-mummy, just like her mother, except when the first kitten arrived. It was late at night and Vanilj had been restless for many hours, I fell in sleep and woke up by a strange sound, when I looked up I saw Ambrosia, Kassis, Vallmo and Vanilj sitting on my bed and looking at something ... Suddenly wide awake I saw a small bundle which lay gasping for breath, she was a little bit cold, but after a little massaging and drying, she began to beep gently, and suddenly Vanilj knew that she had become a mother ..... wow!!!! she didn't know how to take care of the little one enough:-) but then she got contractions and she jumped into her "nest" and began to give birth to her second kitten. Now she knew what it was about and took care of each newborn kitten by herself;-))) Here is the newborn litter
Expected kittens
I guess that you have already seen that we expect kittens in september :-). It will be very interesting to compare the kittens from these two combinations. The mothers; Vanilj and Vallmo are sisters but different in type, temperament, coat-texture and bone-stucture. For a while, when they were youngsters I had an idea to mate them with the same male, only because I'm curious about what they pass thru of their own qualities, if it would be a big difference between the cousins, anyway that was an idea, maybe a little bit crazy though;-)
The males that we finally choosed are quite different in type, but still they have some qualities in common, I'll write some more about these combinations on each "more-information" - page.

New computer - New homepage
It's a great relief that our new homepage is published. This one is much easier to work with.
The reason why I made a new homepage is that we had to get a new a computer, the old one was from 2002 and the homepage-prgogram was to old for my new computer.
I have lost many emails the last month, because I also changed my Internet provider. If you have sent me an emai during the summer, without any reply from me, please send it again.
